STATEMENT OF FAITH

WHAT WE BELIEVE…

 

BIBLE  |  We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God – infallible, inerrant and the final authority for Christian faith and life. (2Timothy 3:16; 2Peter 1:20-21)

 

GOD  |  We believe that there is one true God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:16-17; 28:19; 1Peter 1:2)

 

JESUS CHRIST  |  We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Savior of men, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, true God and true man, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose again the third day, ascended to heaven and coming again the second time for His Church. (Luke 1:26-35; John 1:18; Isaiah 7:14; 9:6; 1Corinthians 15:1-4; John 14:2-3; 1Thessalonians 4:13-18)

 

MAN  |  We believe that man was created in the image of God, but fell into sin, became alienated from God, and can only attain salvation by grace through faith in the redeeming work of Jesus. (Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 5:12, 18; Ephesians 2:8-9)

 

HOLY SPIRIT  |  We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, in the operation of the gifts of the Spirit, and in the Spirit-filled life of a Christian. (Acts 2:1-4; 8:14-17; 10:44-46; 1Corinthians 12:1-14; Ephesians 5:18)

 

WATER BAPTISM & LORD’S SUPPER (COMMUNION)  |  We believe in water baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper, as ordinances to be observed by the church. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:36-39; 1Corinthians 11:23-32)

 

CHURCH  |  We believe that the true church, the collective body of the believers, of which Jesus Christ is the head, is the instrument that God is using to extend His Kingdom in the last days. (Matthew 28:18-20; Ephesians 1:22-23)

 

HEAVEN AND HELL  |  We believe in eternal life for believers in heaven with the Lord, and in eternal punishment for unbelievers in hell with Satan and the fallen angels. (John 5:24; 3:16; Luke 6:23; Mark 9:43-48; 2Thessalonians 1:9; Matthew 25:41; Revelation 20:10-15)

 

GREAT COMMISSION  |  We believe in the Great Commission as the primary mission of the Church. It is the obligation of all believers to witness, by word and life, to the truths of God’s Word. The gospel of the grace of God is to be preached to all the world. (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8; 2Corinthians 5:19-20)
